Smash burgers made with quality from Pat LaFrieda, hand made vegan dressings, and served with fresh beer from The Bronx Brewery. We’re proud to be inclusive and serve virtually our entire menu with plant-based alternatives – lots of vegan smash burgers made with Beyond Meat.

We do stuff our own way and always Like a Bastard™. We bring our music, graffiti, streetwear, really nice smash burgers, and a bit of Sweden to lower Manhattan’s iconic East Village neighborhood. Our love for food and people has created a strong culture around Bastard Burgers, where both climate-smart initiatives and loud hip-hop can be found.
We’re in the burger business to push the boundaries. Sometimes just a tiny bit, other times in a massive way. Always Like a Bastard™.

We became friends with The Bronx Brewery back in 2019, when we collaborated on our beer ‘Big City Bastard’ – a juicy Hazy Session IPA. Now, we’re beyond proud to be able to welcome you to our taproom and restaurant in East Village.
The Bronx Brewery believes in beer’s power to build community. Revolving around the pillars of Community, Creativity and Inclusivity, their goal each day is to create a diverse, vibrant culture that uses beer, art, food and music to inspire, unite and drive positive change in our world.
